There are many ways to achieve our goal.

I was out PC Dale and PC Atherley today combining Ramadan Mosque visits with the School thing where social media is suggesting schools fight each other. We have actually had no instances of school violence in Acton. Which is great.

We were out on Churchfield Road when another call came out saying there was a male with a knife on Churchfield Road. So we were charging down to that when I spotted a male who I knew to be Wanted for recall to prison. He is also one of our problem users. One of the distinctive factors about this male is that he is very short. He is only 5 foot tall. So I thought it would be straight forward and he was walking straight to me. So I went to grab him and he tried to run. Well it turns out he is incredibly strong.  So the three of us ended up trying to jump on top of him, luckily an off duty police officer was walking past. It took the 4 of us to get him on the floor and it was not dignified. When arresting we call these fights, but really it is just a bundle. Trying desperately to get the person on the floor so we can apply cuffs. We did eventually manage this but it took ages. 
The other call was picked up by other officers, and in the fog of war, everyone I was with and the operator on the radio assumed we had arrested the male with the knife. It was sorted out eventually. 
It means one of our users is back locked up and less likely to cause trouble for us!

Earlier in the day we found a male who I have known for ages who had just been discharged from hospital. He was very clear that my reputation is very low in the drug users community of Acton. He says that they are all complaining that I am constantly sneaking up on him and giving them orders. So it appears the message is working.

We also met a few more of you and took some photos and such, it is great when we are get to meet with you. It is really positive and fun at the moment.
